Retreat in the Pyrenees: Meditation and Yoga

On a farm, amid the beautiful natural park of La Garrotxa, Girona, zen meditation practice and Iyengar yoga, in which the delicate presence of every act during the day will be the main actor. With Michel Dubois, Zen teacher, and Silvia Diaz, Iyengar yoga teacher.

Michel Genko Dubois has practiced Zen since 1978. In 2007, he received Shiho (Dharma Transmission) authorization to teach Zen, from Genpo Merzel Roshi and Inka (Final Seal of Approval) from Bernie Tetsugen Glassman Roshi. Michel is a member and a teacher of the « Zen Peacemakers », an association founded by Bernie Glassman to unite Zen Buddhist practice, social action, and work for peace. He is also the cofounder of the “L’Un Est L’Autre” (One is the Other) humanitarian organization, which distributes meals to the needy in Paris.

He currently teaches Zen at the Dana Zen Center at Montreuil, suburban Paris, and regularly leads retreats in France and Catalonia, Spain.

The place of the retreat is spectacular, in the middle of the mountains and the teaching of Michel Dubois is most rewarding.

This time, the practice of yoga is added to help prepare for sitting meditation, or to end them with ease. This part will be guided by Silvia D. Chica, director of Centro de Yoga de León. Silvia is Iyengar yoga teacher, certified by RIMYI and AEYI with 12 year of teaching experience.
